Forgiveness

I know time from face
But yours is a face my time may not remember

Because as much as I want to
I cannot make sense of it all
And I was there

You kept truth for yourself
And wanted me to live the same selfish lie
I never had a chance to show you who I really am
Because there's a part of you, you never let me understand

I know hard things happen
And it would be the easiest to give blame
But the better part of me knows
My anger can do no worse

I can live with knowing who I am
